Privacy Policy

Task Manager (package: io.github.haseeb.taskmanager) respects your privacy. This policy describes what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights.

Summary

• We do not collect or transmit personal data to our servers. The app works entirely on your device.
• Your tasks, subtasks, and preferences are stored locally using on-device storage (e.g., SQLite and Shared Preferences).
• Notifications are generated locally on your device; the app does not track your activity.
• Optional exports (CSV/PDF) and file imports happen on-device. Files are only shared when you explicitly choose to export/share.
• Advertising: The app displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. See details below.

Data We Access

• Tasks & Subtasks: Saved locally in an on-device database (SQLite). Used to display and manage your tasks.
• Preferences: Stored via Shared Preferences (e.g., theme, notification settings, rating prompt flags).
• Notifications: Scheduled and shown locally via the system's notification APIs.
• Files: When you import or export, the app may read or write files that you select using system file pickers.

Advertising & Third-Party Services

This app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and process data including:

• Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID)
• IP address and approximate location
• Ad interaction data (views, clicks)
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size)

This data is used to serve personalized ads and measure ad performance. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

Permissions

• Notifications: Used to remind you about scheduled tasks. You can disable notifications in system settings or within the app.
• Storage / File Access: Used only when you choose to import/export or print your data (PDF/CSV). Access is limited to files you explicitly select.
• Internet Access: Required to load and display ads from AdMob.

Children's Privacy

The app is intended for general productivity use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us to remove it.

Data Sharing

We do not share your data with third parties. Your data stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it.

Security

Your data is stored locally on your device. Please protect your device with a passcode or biometric lock. The app does not implement cloud backups unless you export data yourself.

Your Choices

• Disable notifications at any time in system settings.
• Delete the app to remove all locally stored data.
• Use the app's import/export features to manage your data portability.
